Annual Conference 2016 
NEW INSIGHTS IN ECOLOGY

The 2016 ECA Conference encompasses a broad range of subject areas from fire to the marine environment. This years conference aims to bring new understanding in ecology to ecological consultants, environmental practitioners, regulators and managers. Scientific thinking is the main plank in our profession and every year researchers work to understand the mechanisms that support ecology, practically and theoretically. Experts in their field, this years conference speakers, will provide food for thought and discussion on ways our profession can identify flaws in current practice and more importantly improve upon it in a tangible way. This year we will also here from our first two research grant recipients.
Registration opens at 8.30am with tea and coffee available on arrival. Presentations will begin at 9am and continue through to 5.30pm, with plenty of delicious food and drinks served throughout the day. The ECA AGM will be held before lunch, with all welcome to attend. You may continue to enjoy the Briars Historic Inn by attending our conference dinner and trivia quiz, to be held from 6 – 9pm. The dinner must be pre-paid and includes a gourmet cocktail dinner, tea and coffee, trivia quiz and prizes, with bar facilities available to buy your own drinks. Partners are welcome to attend the conference dinner.

Venue Accommodation
Bed & Breakfast Accommodation at the Briars is available from $150per person or $170 per room for 2 people (for bookings phone 02 4868 3566 and let them know that you are attending the conference at the time of booking)
